THE ROLE

The Director, M&A Analytics is a senior leader in our M&A Analytics practice who oversees a portfolio of M&A consulting engagements for private equity sponsors and investment banking clients. Day-to-day, the Director reviews critical client deliverables, champions AI and Blue Ops' proprietary analytics tools to sharpen delivery, and serves as a trusted advisor to PE deal teams, investment bankers, and portfolio company finance leaders. Beyond engagement work, this role is central to building the next generation of Blue Ops talent, mentoring Managers and Senior Managers, shaping career paths, and modeling the technical excellence and client orientation that define our brand. This is a player-coach role for someone who has built credibility in the market and now wants a platform to multiply their impact through the people they develop.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to communicate effectively internally and externally across a range of disciplines, and all levels of management

Ability touse data analysis to develop insights to drive client value

Strong interest in Technology and integration of AI focused strategies and tools

Capable of multi-tasking across projects and overseeing 5+ client engagements concurrently, with varying teams, scope and complexity

Ability to adapt on the fly, and comfortable with ambiguity

Ability to influence and drive consensus across all organizational functional areas

Effectively manage engagement execution (e.g. deliverable timelines, economics, scope/re-scoping, quality, customer satisfaction, team effectiveness)

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their concerns and providing regular updates

Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment, promoting professional growth and development and continuous improvement

Identify opportunities for additional client engagements and collaborate with business development teams to expand relationships

Travel: 515% to client sites, PE firm offices, and industry events, based on engagement mix

WHAT YOUR RESUME SHOWS

1013 years of progressive experience in transaction advisory services, financial due diligence, investment banking, private equity, or corporate development.

Bachelors Degree Required - emphasis in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred, MBA or CFA a plus.

Experience leading M&A consulting projects for private equity sponsors and/or investment banks in an analytics, QoE, or management consulting capacity.

Demonstrated track record of mentoring and developing high-performing professionals investing in career growth, modeling client excellence, and building the next layer of leadership beneath you.

Expert-level financial modeling, financial statement analysis, and advanced Excel fluency; exposure to Power BI, Alteryx, or SQL a plus.

Experience leading and developing teams across multiple concurrent engagements, with a passion for coaching, career development, and growing professionals into senior leaders.

THE PACKAGE

The salary range for this position is: $153,000 - $214,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws. All hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Blue Ops offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
