Summary of Job: NorthStar is looking for a Medical Director Anesthesiologist to lead the Mercy St. Vincent team. Mercy St. Vincent is a level 1 Trauma center in the heart of Toledo, Ohio. Exceptional compensation and benefits package offered! The Medical Director of Anesthesia is responsible for serving as the primary liaison between NorthStar, hospital administration and anesthesia staff. This person is responsible for assuring the ongoing development and implementation of policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of medical staff services at his/her facility. The Medical Director will be responsible for the medical leadership, clinical oversight and patient care for the anesthesia department.

  • Cases Include: Cardiac, Vascular, Kidney Transplants, GI, General, OB/GYN, Neuro, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, Plastics, Podiatry, Urology, Pediatrics. High-risk OB, Level 3 Neonatal ICU & Trauma
  • Care Team Model
  • Salary: $590,000
  • Cardiac Fellowship preferred
  • Call: 17 hour in house call split between 9 physicians
  • PTO: 11 weeks
  • Sign on bonus eligible 

Facility Description: Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, established in 1855, is the critical care regional referral and teaching center within the Mercy system, a seven hospital faith-based system serving Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan. St. Vincent is home to five Life Flight air ambulances, holds the highest designation for treating high risk mothers & babies and is a Level I Trauma Center for children & adults. We are also the regionโ€™s only Burn Care and Reconstructive Center . St. Vincent maintains a completely modern, attractive and secure campus and also takes a leadership role in providing quality medical education and community development.
