Works cooperatively with others as part of a team; recognizes the importance of group goals. Hours / Shift:
* 3 / 12-hour shifts
* Day shift or Nights! 7 am -7pm or 7 pm -7am
* ???? Rotating weekends and holidays

* Advancement through career ladder to Patient Care Technician (PCT) and beyond

???? Patient Care Associate (PCA) Responsibilities:
* ???? Obtain and document vital signs in the electronic medical record
* ???? Assist with meals, bathing, toileting, ambulation, mobility, and transport
* ???? Provide clerical support as needed

???? Patient Care Technician (PCT) Responsibilities:
* All PCA duties
* ???? Phlebotomy / blood cultures
* ???? Enteral feeding
* ???? Wound care
* ???? IV / Foley removal
* ???? Trach care and suctioning

???? Training
* Our PCA training program is an accredited Department of Labor Apprenticeship Program offering hands-on experience in a supportive healthcare environment
* No experience? Mercy provides a 175-hour required training program meeting DHSS requirements (completed within 90 days of hire)
* BLS required within 1 month of hire
* PCA competencies completed within 3 months of hire

* ???? High school diploma or G.E.D
* ???? CNA / CPTC OR enrolled in a high school healthcare career program
* ???? Current Mercy co-worker also eligible
