Mercy Hospital in Springfield and Lebanon, Missouri is recruiting an emergency medicine physician! We offer a great variety of shifts at a level I, tertiary hospital and one of the busiest trauma centers in the Midwest combined with shifts at a rural regional hospital that allows for a very hands-on approach, critical thinking, variety of patients, and procedures. This is a hospital-employed group with guaranteed shifts and hours, no partnership track/buy-in and equal parity, scheduling, and vote from day one! Mercy Hospital Springfield and Lebanon

  • Springfield – 886-bed, level I, tertiary trauma, and catchment hospital for four states

    • 80,000+ annual ED visits, ~2pph

    • 9-hour shifts - 7 for patient care and last 2 for clean-up means you go home on-time

    • 14 physician shifts each day – lots of support and never single coverage

    • 80-bed emergency department

    • 11-bed pediatric emergency department plus PICU

    • Over 600 employed physicians across all specialties

    • 24/7 in-house neurology/stroke, general and orthopedic trauma, anesthesiology, intensivists, hospitalists, and OB hospitalist

    • ED ultrasound (Sonosite), MRI, and CT available all the time

  • Lebanon – 50 bed hospital, no trauma designation

    • 12-hour shifts – on-time departure!

    • 19-bed ED

    • 25k-30k annual visits,

    • Three physicians shifts and one APP shift each day

    • Very hands-on with lots of procedures, critical care, decision making and autonomy

    • 24/7 OB and surgery coverage

    • 24/7 RT, critical care, ultrasound, imaging

  • EPIC EMR across Mercy

  • Partnership with local and nearby medical schools for teaching, if desired

  • Rated in the top 5% nationally for overall clinical excellence by Healthgrades

  • Leapfrog Grade A for safety and quality

Mercy Emergency Medicine Offers:

  • Minimum of $260/hour plus wRVUs (group average $297/hour)

  • $150,000 recruitment bonus plus paid relocation
