Provide support to staff, lead supervisors and director. Will rotate between assignment room and equipment area. Hours: 6:30 AM – 4:00 PM

What You'll Do

As a Respiratory Equipment Technician, you will support the Respiratory Department by managing equipment, supplies, inventory, and daily operational needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean, disinfect, pasteurize, package, and distribute respiratory equipment.
  • Stock, receive, organize, and distribute respiratory supplies and medical gases.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with inventory and par management.
  • Perform equipment pickup and delivery throughout the hospital while following infection control guidelines.
  • Assist with ventilator and BiPAP setup and function checks under the supervision of a licensed Respiratory Therapist.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance activities with the Biomedical Engineering team.
  • Run daily department reports and maintain accurate records, logs, and statistics.
  • Support staff, supervisors, and department leadership with operational and administrative needs.
  • Maintain organized files, records, and supply inventories.
  • Answer and route phone calls professionally and provide excellent customer service.
  • Train and assist new employees and students when needed.
  • Identify opportunities to improve department efficiency and workflow.
  • Follow all safety, infection prevention, attendance, and Mercy Service Standards.
