Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patients care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patients' rights and confidentiality of patient information. Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with the established guidelines of nursing practice, the goals of Mercy Health System, the Philosophy of the Sisters of Mercy, the State Nurse Practice Act, the Code of Professional and Business Ethics, and the Co-Worker Code of Conduct. About Mercy Float Pool:

If you thrive in dynamic environments and love learning something new every day, the Float Pool is your calling. You'll gain broad clinical experience, sharpen your assessment and communication skills, and work with a variety of teams across the hospital.

Units you may float to include:

  • Med/Surg, Medical Telemetry, Cardiac Telemetry

  • Stepdown

  • ICU, CVICU

  • Oncology, Neurology, Orthopedics and more!

Float Pool Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of acute care RN experience (6 months must be within the past year)

  • Education: Nursing degree from an accredited program (BSN preferred)

  • Licensure: Current RN license in Missouri

  • Certifications:

    • BLS (American Heart Association)

    • ACLS (American Heart Association)
