Job description

Performs direct patient care activities. Receives direction from nurse and reports patients progress and unusual findings in a timely manner. Assists with patient preparation for surgery and deliveries. Performs tasks relating to the delivery/surgical procedure. Assists in maintaining a clean, prepared work environment. Functions within established guidelines of nursing practice, surgical standards, the goals of Mercy Health System, the Philosophy of the Sisters of Mercy, the Code of Professional and Business Ethics and the Employee Code of Conduct. Position Details:
  • This is a prn position at Mercy Aurora with variable hours

Certifications: BLS, NRP Certification required within 90 days of hire.
Hazmat Training and STABLE course to be completed within the 1st year of employment.

Physical Requirements:
•    Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
•    Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
•    Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
