Job description

Merchandise Processors are responsible for tagging, hanging, and moving merchandise to the designated location on the salesfloor. The focus of the role is to provide customers with the best selection of merchandise while keeping the store organized and easy to shop. This is a part-time weekday, position, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Candidates must be available to start their shift at 7am, working a minimum of 4 hours or more if desired.  

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

 Operations:

  • Correctly tag, label, hang, package, and place merchandise on the salesfloor in the correct department by size, style, and color as per company standards.
  • Understand merchandising standards to maintain ease of shopping for customers.
  •  Backstock inventory as needed, using the Backroom Inventory Management tools.
  • Correctly reprint tags as necessary
  •  Sanitize some merchandise with fiber fill as required by law.
  • Maintain a positive and friendly disposition toward all team members and customers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, with a sense of urgency.
  • Must have strong two-way communication skills.
  • Able to manage time wisely.

WORKING CONDITIONS/EXPECTATIONS

  • Must be able to stand for 4 – 10 hours; maintain an efficient pace with repetitive motion such as tagging, typing, pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, walking, and lifting. Must be able to  lift up to 40 pounds and climb a ladder.
  • Vision, coordination and reading requirements consistent with the employee’s need to inspect all merchandise closely and efficiently. Prepare all merchandise for the sales floor, which includes but not limited to attaching price tags, hanging, bagging, tying, wrapping. Place all processed merchandise on the sales floor.
