Goodwill Southwest Florida is seeking a Central Processor to support the efficient handling and preparation of donated goods. This role is essential to ensuring donations are accurately received, sorted, and processed in compliance with Kaizen principles while meeting established productivity goals. The ideal candidate brings a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and flexibility to assist across various areas of production while supporting Goodwill's mission of creating opportunities and strengthening the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, record, and sort donated goods according to Kaizen guidelines and processing standards.
  • Maintain full compliance with Kaizen principles, audits, and 5โ€‘minute drill requirements.
  • Meet or exceed established production goals with a focus on efficiency, process improvement, and productivity.
  • Assist across all areas of the production process, including crossโ€‘training to cover additional duties as needed.
  • Support donation intake, merchandising, cleaning, and other tasks as assigned by supervisors.
  • Provide courteous and professional customer service when interacting with donors, staff, and team members.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to follow processing and pricing guidelines as outlined by the Kaizen system and pricing guide.
  • Physical ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Sufficient mobility to turn, bend, kneel, lean, and reach to perform processing duties on the sales floor and in the backroom.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Willing to work in environments where temperatures and climate may fluctuate.
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and willingness to assist with a variety of tasks as needed.
