Position Summary

We are looking for a results‑driven, detail‑oriented Merchandiser Program Manager. This role recruits and hires qualified merchandisers, ensuring they meet company standards. Responsibilities include implementing accountability measures, supporting retail partners, and promoting a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Full‑Cycle Recruitment: Manage the entire hiring process for merchandiser roles, from job posting through offer and onboarding.

• Candidate Evaluation: Assess candidates for technical merchandising skills (planogram interpretation, inventory management) and essential soft skills (communication, reliability, problem‑solving).

• Hiring Manager Collaboration: Work closely with other program managers to understand staffing needs, refine job requirements, and align candidate profiles.

• Candidate Experience: Maintain a positive, professional candidate journey through prompt communication, clear expectations, and transparent feedback.

• Compliance: Ensure all hiring practices follow federal, state, and local employment laws.

• Daily Oversight: Review merchandiser schedule adherence and address attendance or performance concerns promptly.

• Performance Management Support: Implement company‑policy‑based performance reviews, improvement plans, and terminations when necessary.

• Relationship Building: Maintain strong, respectful working relationships with employees and retail partners, supporting the company mission of exceptional customer service and employee care.

  • Occasional national travel (3-4 trips annual) to visit stores and merchandisers.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: Proven experience in recruitment or talent acquisition; retail or merchandising recruitment experience strongly preferred.

• Industry Knowledge: Understanding of retail operations, merchandising principles, and skills needed for success (visual display, inventory control, planograms).

• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency with ATS platforms, job boards, and social media sourcing tools.

• Problem‑Solving: Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to adapt strategies as needed.
