About The Role
The RealReal is looking for a reliable Driver to join our Transportation Team! In this role, you will be responsible for driving a company vehicle along a set schedule or route to safely pick up and drop off employees. Additionally, to support our operations, you will also occasionally flex to handle merchandise pickups and deliveries based on business needs.
What You Get To Do Everyday
  • Employee Shuttle Operations: Arrive punctually and follow a designated schedule to safely pick up and drop off employees between the Perth Amboy/Secaucus Junction and The RealReal Authentication Center.
  • Operational Flexibility: Pivot to handle merchandise pickups, deliveries, or run full operational routes as required by daily business needs.
  • Efficient Navigation: Familiarize yourself with all assigned routes, utilizing maps or GPS when necessary to ensure timely arrivals and efficient travel.
  • Clear Communication: Maintain constant communication with your manager and accurately keep track of passenger pickups and drop-offs.
  • Exceptional Service: Respond to passenger inquiries politely and professionally, address any concerns, and assist with loading or unloading luggage as needed.
  • Issue Resolution: Promptly contact management to escalate any problematic situations or issues that arise during your shift.
  • Vehicle Maintenance & Upkeep: Take responsibility for the daily cleanliness of the van and immediately inform the supervisor of any routine or unexpected maintenance requirements.
  • Schedule: Consistently meet attendance and punctuality expectations for the required work schedule.

What You Bring To The Role
Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license and a good driving record
  • Grip, lift, push, pull, and carry wheeled, plastic bins over, up and down inclines, stairs, changes in walking surfaces and elevations
  • Be able to pass a pre-employment substance abuse screening and background check
  • Demonstrate safe and efficient driving skills
  • At least 1-2 years of route transportation experience is required
  • Computer proficiency
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in paperwork
  • Strong customer service and verbal communication skills
  • Commitment to adhere and enforce all safety and security procedures
  • Safely load and unload from the shuttle
  • CDL preferred
  • Must be punctual and available to work overtime as needed

The expected hourly rate for this role is $17-$18. To determine starting pay we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate's skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity.
