Merchandise pickup jobs involve assisting customers with retrieving and loading items they have purchased online or in-store, often at designated pickup counters or drive-up locations. Employees in this role check order details, verify customer identification, and ensure that the correct items are provided quickly and efficiently. This position requires good customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lift and move merchandise safely. Merchandise pickup associates often work in retail stores, warehouses, or fulfillment centers.

These skills ensure accurate, timely, and safe processing of merchandise pickups, leading to customer satisfaction and smooth store operations.

What are some common challenges faced by merchandise pickup associates, and how can they be addressed?

Merchandise Pickup associates often manage high customer volumes, especially during peak hours or sales events, which can be challenging when balancing speed and accuracy. • Work on your own.
  • Get a company truck.
  • Support your family with a good long term job.
  • Help paralyzed veterans. (Former military encouraged to apply)
  • Work outside and stay fit.

Professional charitable fundraising through canvassing and used goods donations.

The Job – Canvass approximately 600 homes per day in residential neighborhoods and pick up donations from canvassing that happened a couple days prior. This is an outdoor job that is production based. This program is known to produce donations and it has been worked here to produce reliable income and work/life balance.

You're not selling anything. You're not talking to donors. You're not riding the clock. You're operating as quickly and quietly as possible for maximum canvassing coverage and therefore maximum donations and income. Pay is based on production - maximize it.

Big Picture View of Job

Essentially, the job consists of stapling cardstock cards to pink plastic bags which you will distribute into residential neighborhoods. The bags and cards will be used by donors to make highly visible donations of clothing and small household items. The bags will be placed on doors during the canvassing portion of the day. Bags that were placed on doors a couple of days prior will be picked up during the pickup portion of the day. After the pickup portion, the donations are all unloaded at a thrift store and production is measured so that you can get paid.

This job will require that you use a company vehicle from your home with a trailer, so you need to live somewhere where you can store a trailer safely when not in use. You need to be able to drive a small truck with a trailer safely and efficiently.

This job has been carefully designed so that a person can go directly from their home to the field with as little drive time as possible. Some portions of the job are done at home and can be done in bulk well ahead of time. The current area mapped is west of Beltway 8, South of 249, and North of 10 so the job will revolve around the home address of the employee.

See the link below for a map to see where we are working and where you should live if you're applying. If you don't live in the red outlined area, please don't apply.
