MERS/Missouri Goodwill Industries is looking for an energetic, self-motivated, and professional ADC Donation Attendant to join our Fairview Heights ADC team! Qualifications
  • The ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, customers, and management.
  • Must be organized and capable of interacting with a diverse work population.
  • Must possess necessary math and computer and website navigation skills.
  • Complex reasoning and decision-making skills are critical.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities
  • Provides positive customer service interactions, including greetings, assisting donors with their donation drop off, and offering thanks and any donation incentive and tax receipt.
  • Handles all donations with care and respect.
  • Sorts donated goods into categories such as furniture, glass, jewelry, shoes, textiles, wares, books and media, cardboard, and trash.
  • Opens and closes the Attended Donation Site.
  • Accurately counts and reports donation counts.
  • Notifies management of hazardous, valuable, or inappropriate merchandise/materials being donated.
  • Utilizes safe work practices through awareness and observation and contributes to ensuring the workplace is hazard-free by removing obstructions and keeping aisles and designated walkways debris-free.
  • Ensures the workplace is hazard-free by removing obstructions and keeping aisles and designated walkways debris-free and maintains the cleanliness of the entire ADC area efficiently and to standard.
  • Maintains a professional appearance always, adhering to MERS/Goodwill's dress code.
  • Safeguards company property and personal information from harm, damage, or theft. Reports any theft, misappropriation, unethical/inappropriate behavior, or unauthorized possession of company property to a member of management, Human Resources, or Loss Prevention.
  • Must adhere to all MERS/Goodwill policies, Goodwill Retail procedures, and safety and security regulations.
  • Creates requests for merchandise pickup to the transportation department.
  • All other duties as assigned.
