Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting thorough assessments to evaluate the mental health needs and personal goals of clients, using structured interviews and standardized assessment tools.
  • Designing and implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual sessions focused on issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress management.
  • Facilitating group therapy sessions that encourage peer support and shared experiences, fostering a sense of community among clients.
  • Creating individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, setting measurable objectives that align with their unique circumstances and preferences.
  • Providing immediate crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques for clients in acute distress, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Offering educational resources to clients about mental health conditions and coping strategies, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery.
  • Maintaining comprehensive and accurate clinical documentation, including treatment plans, progress notes, and compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and social workers, to deliver integrated care that addresses the multifaceted needs of clients.

Qualifications
