Job description

The role of the Groups Administrative Assistant is designed to provide administrative assistance to our Groups Team. This team is responsible for specific ministries that include Adult LifeGroups, Young Adults, Woven (women's ministry) and Forged (men's ministry). We are looking for a highly organized and collaborative administrator who can help our team create an environment where each person at Central feels like they can belong and become who God intended.

  • Multi-tasking abilities, intellectual flexibility, and strong organizational skills so that important matters don't slip through the cracks.

  • The capacity to use the church database (Planning Center) for information, updating, attendance, registrations, training of volunteers, communications, assigning workflows, etc.
  • The capacity to use Google suite (mail, chat, sheets, docs, calendar, etc.)
  • The aptitude to work well under pressure, maintaining a professional demeanor, a servant's heart, and a "can do" attitude.
  • Thoughtful, creative, and strategic thinking skills.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Scheduling rooms, registrations, and logistics for events, trainings, LifeGroup gatherings, etc.
  • Ensure all people who show interest in groups are followed up with in a timely manner and manage PCO workflows to coordinate appropriate communication to anyone going through the onboarding process.
  • Order food and materials needed for events.
  • Coordinate specific ministry event details (purchasing items, set up, basic coordination of volunteers, etc.) including LifeGroup launch, LifeGroup leader training, etc.
  • Respond to inquiries from people about joining LifeGroups, mentoring, adult communities, Woven, Forged, etc.
  • Scheduling rooms, registrations, and logistics for Woven and Forged.
  • Communicating childcare needs for events.

STAFF RELATIONSHIPS

  • A member of the Groups team, reporting to the Groups & Discipleship Strategy Pastor.

TIME COMMITMENT

  • This is a part-time position, approximately 20 hours per week.
  • Expected to attend weekly Groups Team meetings.
  • Expected to be on-site to assist with check-ins for occasional Groups Team events (e.g. Leader Training).
