Lead Memory Care with Purpose
We're seeking an experienced Memory Care Director to lead our Flourish Memory Care Program-driving quality of care, team performance, and meaningful resident engagement.
This role is ideal for someone who can balance clinical awareness, programming, staff leadership, and regulatory compliance while creating a structured, engaging environment for residents living with dementia.
What You'll Own
  • Lead daily operations of the Memory Care Neighborhood
  • Oversee and execute Charter's Flourish Memory Care programming:
    • Restore, Enrich, Connect, Create, Engage, Contribute
  • Develop and manage life enrichment and therapeutic programming
  • Train, coach, and develop memory care team members
  • Partner with the Health & Wellness Director on resident care and outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with Massachusetts state regulations and company standards
  • Manage behavior-based care approaches for residents with dementia
  • Support family communication, education, and engagement
  • Contribute to occupancy and program growth initiatives

What We're Looking For
  • 3+ years of experience in senior living
  • At least 1 year in dementia/memory care leadership
  • Experience managing behavioral challenges and care planning
  • Background in activities, recreation therapy, social work, or related field
  • Proven ability to lead teams, train staff, and drive engagement programs
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Compassionate, structured, and results-oriented leadership style

Education & Certifications
  • Associate's degree required; Bachelor's preferred
  • One or more of the following strongly preferred:
    • Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP)
    • Activities Director Certification (ADC)
    • Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS)

Team Leadership
  • Direct oversight of Memory Care staff in partnership with clinical leadership
  • Responsible for staff training, accountability, and performance standards
  • Key driver of team culture within the Memory Care neighborhood
