Overview
The Personal Trainer Development Manager leads the growth and development of Club Brands' Personal Training by coaching trainers, standardizing best practices, improving member outcomes, and driving Personal Training revenue. This role serves as the primary leader and subject matter expert for Personal Training across all locations. Personal Training is a key driver of member retention, results, and non-dues revenue. This role creates consistency across clubs, develops high-performing trainers, and ensures a best-in-class Personal Training experience for both members and staff.

To build the most respected Personal Training team in the region by developing exceptional trainers, delivering outstanding member results, and establishing Club Brands as a leader in fitness coaching and professional development.
Salary (Exempt) $80,000-$100,000, depending on education and experience.
Core Responsibilities
  • Develop, coach, and mentor all Personal Trainers through onboarding, education, and performance coaching.
  • Standardize Personal Training processes, including consultations, assessments, programming, and client follow-up.
  • Partner with club leadership to improve trainer performance, member retention, and Personal Training revenue.
  • Lead continuing education and career development initiatives.
  • Manage a team of two direct reports and build a strong leadership pipeline.
  • Serve as the primary resource for all Personal Training programs, standards, and initiatives.

  • Leadership experience in Personal Training or Fitness Management
  • Nationally recognized Personal Training certification (NASM, ACE, ACSM, NSCA, etc.)
  • Strong coaching and leadership skills
  • Degree in Business, Leadership, Exercise Science preferred
  • Business-minded with experience growing revenue and member engagement
  • Passion for developing people and building high-performing teams

Physical Requirements
This position may be physically demanding at times. Requires the ability to stand, walk or sit for up to 8 hours throughout the workday-the ability to lift up to 25 pounds. The ability to remain mobile for long periods of time may be required.
