Hiring a Member Service Representative in Verona and Dodgeville


Company Description Heartland Credit Union is a full-service financial cooperative based in Madison, Wisconsin, serving more than 35,000 member-owners. The credit union supports communities across southwest Wisconsin and eastern Iowa with a range of financial products and services. Branch locations include Madison, Verona, DeForest, Dodgeville, Platteville, and Lancaster, providing members with convenient access to in-person banking. Heartland Credit Union emphasizes member-focused service and cooperative values, offering an inclusive and supportive environment for both members and employees.


What you will be doing: 

  • Providing quality service to members, potential members and coworkers 
  • Accurately and efficiently processing deposits, payments, withdrawals, cashed checks, etc. and performing miscellaneous operation duties in accordance with established policies and procedures 
  • Engaging with members by recognizing needs and educating them on appropriate credit union services 
  • Understanding the technology that is available to the members and demonstrating how to use it 
  • Identifying fraudulent activity and notifying management 


What you will need: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent (i.e. GED) or equivalent experience 
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to adjust your communication style to your audience 
  • A positive attitude and strong desire to help others 
  • Strong computer skills 
  • Ability to promote a professional image of the credit union at all times
