Job description

MELE Associates, Inc. is seeking to add an experienced Engineering Support Analyst to support the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) in the execution of its mission, including providing technical, programmatic management, environmental planning and logistics support services. This full-time on-site position is contingent upon contract award.
Essential Functions:
  • Develop, analyze, and communicate requirements and direction for stockpile life-cycle activities, strategic materials, and necessary capabilities.
  • Integrate and coordinate the planning and evaluation of the stockpile operations to ensure national defense requirements are properly understood and met. Serve as a technical advisor for weapon related activities by coordinating the dissemination of knowledge to stakeholders with a need to know, in support of the NA-12 PADA.
  • Support DP participation in DoD studies for follow-on weapons
  • Prepare draft portions of the Stockpile Strategic Management Plan (SSMP) and conduct ongoing technical reviews
  • Support NNSA participation with DoD in development of Nuclear Weapon Stockpile Memorandum/Nuclear Weapons Stockpile Plan (NWSM/NWSP), Requirements and Planning Directive (RPD), Joint Surety Report (JSR), Report on Stockpile Assessments (ROSA).
  • Work with NNSA staff to develop/deliver current, historic & future weapon stockpile quantities, dismantlements, materials, and yields.
  • Providing support for interactions with other agencies (e.g., consultations) and with the public (e.g., communications, meetings, hearings).
  • Support project-related technical analyses related to investment decisions, such as pair-wise comparisons, benchmarking, trade-off analysis, security/vulnerability project evaluations, etc.
  • Support NNSA DP staff to develop/produce/deliver the Production & Planning Directive (P&PD).

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Current, active DOE Q Clearance/Top Secret Clearance with ability to acquire SCI.
  • PhD in engineering or cyber-security related field. Eight (8) years of relevant experience is equivalent to a four (4) year bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum twenty (20) years of government experience
  • Superior communication, organizational, interpersonal, and writing skills.

This position is contingent upon contract award.
LOCATION: This is a full-time on-site position in Albuquerque, NM 87123 USA
