Position Overview:

We’re seeking a motivated, energetic, and trustworthy individual to join our team as a Compact Construction Equipment Sales Representative. In this role, you’ll be responsible for selling new and used Caterpillar compact construction equipment and allied products within an assigned territory, with the full backing of one of the most respected dealers in the industry. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio and active pipeline of current and prospective customers
  • Achieve sales goals for territory growth, market share, and new customer acquisition
  • Actively prospect and cold call to develop new business
  • Maintain strong product knowledge across Caterpillar and allied equipment offerings
  • Provide solutions tailored to customer needs, including finance, service, and technology options
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure excellent customer service and follow-through
  • Track activity and opportunities using Salesforce CRM

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of sales experience, preferably in equipment or B2B environments
  • High school diploma required; college degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; Salesforce experience is a plus
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the assigned territory

Position Scope:

Responsible for out-of-territory sales of Compact Construction Equipment (CCE) and the management of online CCE inventory and website listings.


Education Requirements:

Four-year degree required with concentration in business administration, supply chain management or related field. Relevant work experience can replace education requirement.

  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be able to pass background check, physical exam and drug screening test.

Most work is conducted in a comfortable office environment but occasional travel to customer sites, sales locations, equipment yards or other relevant areas may occur.
