Lean Manufacturing Engineer
Location: EXALTA Group – Bonita Springs, FL
Reports To: Director of Operations
Position Summary
The Lean Manufacturing Engineer drives operational excellence through the application of Lean manufacturing principles, process optimization, and continuous improvement. This role partners closely with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and inventory (SQDCI) performance while supporting EXALTA's growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Lean transformation initiatives across manufacturing operations.
- Facilitate Kaizen events, value stream mapping, and waste elimination projects.
- Analyze manufacturing processes to improve throughput, reduce lead time, and increase productivity.
- Develop and implement standardized work, visual management systems, and 5S programs.
- Drive continuous improvement using Lean tools such as A3 problem solving, root cause analysis, SMED, Kanban, TPM, and cellular manufacturing.
- Identifycapacity constraints and implement sustainable process improvements.
- Partner with Engineering on new product introductions and process transfers.
- Support production layout optimization and material flow improvements.
- Develop KPIs andmonitoroperational performance through dashboards and visual management.
- Train and coach employees and leaders on Lean methodologies and continuous improvement practices.
- Support cost reduction initiatives while maintaining compliance with FDA, ISO 13485, and customer requirements.
- Participate in cross-functional projects supporting strategic operationalobjectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
- 3–7+ years of Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Medicaldevice, life sciences, or other highly regulated manufacturing experience preferred.
- Demonstrated success leading measurable Lean improvement projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiencywith Microsoft Office; experience with ERP/MESsystems and data analysis tools preferred.

- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
- Certified Lean Practitioner (preferred)
