Description . This contract position is an on-site role that offers a unique opportunity to provide high-quality orthopedic care in a dynamic medical practice setting. As a Locum Orthopedic Surgeon, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care, performing surgeries, and collaborating with our dedicated healthcare team. You will have the chance to work with a diverse patient population and contribute to improving their quality of life through expert orthopedic interventions.

Responsibilities

Perform orthopedic surgical procedures and patient evaluations Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care Provide pre-operative and post-operative care for patients Document patient information and maintain accurate medical records Educate patients and their families on treatment options and recovery Participate in departmental meetings and case discussions Stay updated on advancements in orthopedic techniques and technologies Ensure compliance with medical regulations and ethical standards Requirements MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school Board certification or eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery Valid medical license to practice in the state of Virginia Strong clinical and surgical skills in orthopedic procedures Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, on-site environment Commitment to providing high-quality patient care Experience in a similar locum or contract role is preferred

Schedule:

Day, night, and weekend call coverage

Shift Information: 24-hours

Duties:

Consults, surgery, and rounding Average Daily Volume: 8 patients

EMR: Meditech Must be board-certified Paid travel & expenses
