MRI Technologist

Job Title: MRI Technologist

Profession: MRI Tech

Specialty: Radiology

Shift: 07:00 - 19:30

Hours per Shift: 12

Experience: Minimum 2 years

License: VA License Required

Certifications: MR Registered; BLS

Must-Have: Experience with GE equipment Virginia license required

Description: The unit has 5 staff members. The team consists of 2 technologists on day shift and 2 technologists on evening shift. There is a night shift on call. The equipment used includes GE 450W 1.5 T. The EMR systems utilized are Meditech and Centricity PACS. Typical procedures performed include brain, spine, orthopedic, body, abdomen, and cardiac scans. Weekend call rotation typically includes 1 weekend per month and 2 week nights of call each week from 11 PM to 6 AM. The dress code requires navy scrubs.
