Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented and dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our long term care pharmacy team in Colorado Springs, CO. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a long term care pharmacy (not required) setting and possess strong organizational and communication skills. This role involves supporting pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications to ensure the highest level of patient care for residents in long term care facilities. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, maintains strict adherence to regulatory requirements, and enjoys working as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently for long term care patients.
  • Receive, verify, and process prescription orders from long term care facilities.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and medication profiles in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare medication packaging, including unit dose and blister packs, tailored for long term care residents.
  • Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications and supplies.
  • Communicate effectively with pharmacists, healthcare providers, and long term care facility staff.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations.
  • Assist in quality assurance and medication safety initiatives within the pharmacy.
Qualifications (Required)
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).
  • Knowledge of brand and generic drugs.
  • Knowledge of control classification of drugs.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
Qualifications (Preferred)
