Job description

This position offers an exciting opportunity for a certified Pharmacy Technician to contribute to medication dispensing and support pharmacy operations in a dynamic retail setting. The role requires accuracy and efficiency in prescription processing, insurance claim handling, inventory management, and medication packaging.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately process and fill prescriptions, handle insurance adjudications, and resolve claim rejections.
  • Prepare, package, and label medications for pharmacist verification and ensure proper documentation.
  • Perform data entry, manage prescription paperwork, and communicate effectively with patients and prescribers.
  • Conduct daily inventory cycle counts, restock supplies, and review medication expirations.
  • Assist with medication returns, quarantines, and destruction protocols.
  • Cross-train in various pharmacy functions to support department needs and maintain workflow continuity.
  • Comply with HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, and insurance regulations to uphold patient confidentiality and legal requirements.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • PTCB certification and Florida pharmacy technician license in good standing.
  • Minimum of 2 years of pharmacy technician experience, ideally with some call center exposure.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent multitasking and organizational skills.
