Lead Innovation in Long-Term Care Pharmacy

We are seeking a Medication Packaging Pharmacy Manager to lead and oversee our Long-Term Care medication packaging operations. This leadership role combines clinical expertise with operational management, ensuring the safe, accurate, and timely preparation of medication packaging solutions that support thousands of patients throughout Wisconsin.

This is an opportunity for an experienced pharmacist leader to make a meaningful impact by optimizing workflows, mentoring pharmacy teams, advancing quality initiatives, and helping deliver exceptional care to long-term care facilities and the patients they serve.

What You'll DoProvide Operational and Clinical Leadership
  • Oversee all medication packaging operations, including bubble packs, cycle fills, adherence packaging, and patient-specific medication systems.

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable pharmacy laws, regulations, and company policies.

  • Monitor department performance and implement strategies that improve quality, efficiency, and patient safety.

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives that support organizational growth and operational excellence.

Lead and Develop Pharmacy Teams
  • Supervise and support pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and packaging personnel.

  • Provide coaching, training, and professional development opportunities.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and patient-centered care.

  • Assist with staffing, scheduling, performance management, and department planning.

Ensure Quality and Regulatory Compliance
  • Maintain high standards of medication accuracy and patient safety.

  • Oversee quality assurance processes and investigate medication packaging discrepancies.

  • Ensure appropriate documentation, reporting, and regulatory compliance activities are completed.

  • Maintain readiness for audits, inspections, and accreditation requirements.

Support Long-Term Care Partners

QualificationsRequired
  • Active Wisconsin Pharmacist License in good standing.

  • PharmD or Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.

  • Previous pharmacy leadership or management experience.

  • Strong understanding of pharmacy operations, medication management, and regulatory requirements.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Preferred
  • Long-Term Care pharmacy experience.

  • Experience with medication packaging operations, cycle fills, and adherence packaging programs.

  • Experience with pharmacy automation and packaging technologies.

  • Experience leading operational improvement initiatives and managing departmental performance.
