Job description

Job Summary:
Snap-on is a leading global innovator in automotive diagnostic equipment, seeking a Product Development Manager. The role involves leading technical management of CMS platforms, Azure cloud migration, and providing operational support while collaborating with various teams to align core systems with business needs.
Responsibilities:
• Own CMS platforms, localization workflows, authoring support applications, and product content release systems, ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable operations.
• Apply Agile methodology, Azure DevOps practices, and appropriate AI development accelerators to improve planning, delivery visibility, engineering productivity, code quality, and release execution.
• Guide the design, modernization, and support of complex content, database, and cloud platform solutions, including enterprise SQL Server and Microsoft Azure database strategy, operations, architecture, cloud migration, and modernization.
• Set technical direction and coordinate project delivery with engineering, infrastructure, cybersecurity, application development, content, localization, business stakeholders, and external professional service providers.
• Plan and manage Azure cloud migration and modernization activities from assessment and readiness through cutover and post-migration optimization.
• Define operational standards for availability, recovery, monitoring, patching, access control, incident response, and environment reliability.
• Maintain application, database, and Azure security controls, including access management, data protection, audit readiness, vulnerability remediation, and policy compliance.
• Drive automation and repeatable processes for deployments, maintenance, monitoring, environment provisioning, operational reporting, and release readiness.
• Lead offshore development teams and globally distributed DBA teams, ensuring clear priorities, technical alignment, delivery accountability, skill development, and regional coverage.
• Resolve design constraints, technical risks, and conflicting requirements while ensuring appropriate technical documentation, design reviews, operational procedures, and release readiness materials are completed.
• Prepare project plans, schedules, cost estimates, expense and capital budgets, and monitor delivery and spending against approved scope, schedule, and budget expectations.
• Identify opportunities for technical improvement, innovation, and intellectual property protection, and manage related IP activities in accordance with Snap-on corporate guidelines.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, data management, or equivalent work experience
• 8-10+ years of related experience, including experience leading technical teams or platform operations teams
• Experience managing CMS platforms, and product content release systems
• Experience leading SQL Server and Azure database environments, including database architecture, operations, Azure cloud migration, and modernization
