Summary:
Under the direction of the Sales VP, the Sales Professional will develop strategic plans and forecasts for accounts, communicate effectively internally and externally, resolving customer issues proactively, grow and maintain sales territory, identify new sales opportunities, understand customer visions and supply chain objectives to provide proactive solutions, build relationships with decision makers, exceed sales goals and provide routine cost savings reports.
Responsibilities of the Sales Trainee include, but are not limited to:
  • Successfully complete a 12-24 month comprehensive training program covering, but not limited to:
  • Warehousing
  • Marketing
  • Operations
  • Customer Service
  • Branch Training Rotation
  • Sales and Product Training

Qualifications of the Sales Trainee include, but are not limited to:
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related degree
• Knowledge of pumps, pump parts, bearings and/or power transmission products, safety products, and/or industrial supplies preferred
• Must have a sales/customer-service oriented mentality
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to resolve unique customer issues
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Self-starter, ability to work productively with minimal supervision
• Acceptable driving record according to company guidelines

Additional Information:
  • Physical Demand: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. required
  • Working Conditions: Office environment
  • Training/Certifications: Any related to pumps, bearings, power transmission, safety, or industrial supplies preferred

  • Travel: Travel within the Corpus Christi and Houston region
