Medical videographers are professionals who specialize in capturing, editing, and producing video content related to healthcare and medical procedures. They work in hospitals, clinics, research institutions, or with medical device companies to document surgeries, create educational materials, and support medical training. Their work is essential for teaching, patient education, marketing, and legal documentation. Medical videographers must understand both video production techniques and the specific requirements of medical environments, including patient privacy and sterile procedures.

What are some common challenges medical videographers face when filming in clinical settings?

Job description

As a Videographer at The 20, you'll be the creative force behind our video storytelling. From capturing live events and client testimonials to producing polished internal features, you'll play a key role in shaping how our brand, culture, and services are shared with the world. This role blends hands-on filming with post-production editing, giving you the opportunity to see projects through from concept to completion.
We're looking for someone who not only has the technical expertise to create high-quality video content but also the vision to bring stories to life and the confidence to collaborate with both clients and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Capture high-quality video footage at company events, client engagements, and internal initiatives.
  • Conceptualize, plan, and execute video projects that align with brand strategy and marketing goals.
  • Edit raw footage into polished final products using software such as Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, leadership, and external stakeholders to produce content that meets brand guidelines.
  • Develop video content across multiple formats, including promotional videos, testimonials, event recaps, training clips, and social media snippets.
  • Maintain an organized archive of video assets and manage video production schedules.
  • Stay current on video trends, tools, and best practices to continually elevate production quality.
  • Create an engaging and comfortable environment for on-camera participants, many of whom may be unfamiliar with being filmed.
  • Ensure technical quality during shoots, including lighting, audio, and framing.

Qualifications & Skills:
  • Proven experience in videography and video editing (portfolio/samples required).
  • Proficiency with editing software (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, etc.).
  • Strong technical knowledge of camera operation, lighting, audio equipment, and related production tools.
  • Creative mindset with an eye for visual storytelling.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable standing, walking, or moving around event spaces for extended periods.
  • Ability to set up and break down video, lighting, and audio equipment as needed.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to client sites or off-site events.

Benefits:
  • Comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, supplemental coverage, plus HSA/FSA options
  • Competitive 401(k) participation with up to 4% contribution match
  • Certification reimbursement to support your continued development
  • Meaningful opportunities for advancement within a growing organization
  • A culture built on drive, accountability, collaboration, and excellence
