WJM Professional Services, LLC is a leading healthcare management firm with 20 years of experience providing healthcare personnel, and administrative staffing services to government agencies, including the Defense Health Agency, the United States Air Force, Army, Navy, Coast Guard, National Guard, and the Department of Veterans Affairs.

We are currently recruiting for Medical Support Assistants to perform services at the VA Medical Center in Fort Harrison, MT.

Key Responsibilities:

The Medical Support Assistant will provide scheduler/receptionist responsibilities for the performance and coordination of appointment scheduling in accordance with the VHA, outpatient scheduling and process and procedures.

  • The Medical Support Assistant will work with the Lead Scheduler to ensure all patient communications are completed on time and appropriately.
  • Coordinates and authorizes Veterans care with community providers that the VA does not supply or cannot supply timely.
  • Communicates with internal medical providers on rules and regulations for VA Community Care and advises on appropriate processes.
  • The MSA will validate and update the patient's demographics.
  • They will screen/receive calls in a courteous and timely matter.
  • Respond to telephone inquiries regarding delivery of services.
  • When records are received the MSA will ensure the necessary healthcare /administrative are processed to be integrated into the Computerized Patient Records System (CPRS) and the Veterans Health Information System and Technology Architecture (VistA).
  • Properly processes community care consults via HealthShare Referral Manager (HSRM) and Provider Profile Manager System (PPMS) and /or other systems as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Oral and written proficiency in English.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Must be able to type a minimum of 50 WPM.
  • Have no health or physical disability restrictions that will interfere with the assigned duties.
