Job description

This is a casual position. A casual is a non-benefit eligible position that is not guaranteed any hours but can pick up open shifts.

Purpose of Job

This position is responsible for creating a positive first impression to patients, the complete and accurate registration and scheduling for patients.

Job Functions

  1. Performs basic receptionist duties to include answering and returning phone calls, and retrieving voicemail and maintaining department office equipment and supplies.
  2. Greets and provides courteous customer service to internal and external customers.
  3. Assures accurate processing of patient registration and scheduling.
  4. Scans, files and posts documents into patient charts.
  5. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education/Work Experience

  • Must be at least 15 years old

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Knowledge of basic computer functions and Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to meet and maintain the necessary background checks as aligned with position functions
  • Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions as mentioned above
  • Ability to perform basic math functions and count money
  • Ability to respond appropriately to unpredictable situations and diverse patient populations
  • Ability to work autonomously and as a team
  • Ability to multi-task

License/Certifications
