Medical Assistant โ€“ Mohs Surgery
Raleigh, NC | In-Office

Support exceptional patient care in a specialized surgical setting.
Raleigh Medical Group, PA is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our Mohs Specialty clinical team in Raleigh.ย  This role supports providers and patients throughout the surgical care process, helping ensure a positive patient experience and efficient clinic operations.

The ideal candidate is organized, team-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced procedural environment.


Responsibilities
  • Prepare and room patients for examinations and Mohs surgical procedures.
  • Obtain and document patient medical histories and vital signs.
  • Assist providers during procedures, including maintaining sterile fields.
  • Perform wound care and apply post-procedure dressings and bandages.
  • Administer medications as directed by the physician.
  • Collect, label, and prepare laboratory and pathology specimens.
  • Clean, sterilize, and maintain instruments and equipment.
  • Ensure exam and procedure rooms are fully stocked and prepared.
  • Document patient care, procedures, and results accurately in the EMR.
  • Assist with prescription refills, prior authorizations, referrals, and patient follow-up as directed
  • Provide patients with pre- and post-procedure instructions and education
  • Respond to non-emergent patient questions under provider guidance
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA, infection control, HIPAA, and safety standards
  • Support a positive, patient-centered experience throughout the visit
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required:

  • ย ย ย  High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one (1) year of Medical Assistant experience
  • Strong computer and documentation skills

Preferred:

  • Medical Assistant certification
  • Dermatology, surgical, or procedural experience
  • Experience with EMR systems.
