Working Days/Hours: 8-4:30 M-F
Job Description:
• The main focus for the temporary support is for scanning so they are looking for those with experience working with large batches of paper records, scanning equipment, and images in an EHR.
• Proficient in the Electronic Health Record functionality.
• Process and maintain medical records in a manner consistent with medical, administrative, ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements of the health care system for entry into the Electronic Health Record database. Meets quality and productivity standards. Understands policies, procedures, and priorities Locate, retrieve, and deliver medical records.
• Reconcile and maintain accurate task queues of records to be processed and entered into the Electronic Health Record. Analyze reports to determine status of records to be processed and entered into the Electronic Health Record. Prepare Records for Scanning.
• Scan and upload records into the Electronic Health Record.
• Quality Check Records for accuracy and quality. Validate and Index Records.
• Troubleshoot issues with the Electronic Health Record functionality.
• Process Protected Health Information data in compliance with regulatory requirements of the health care system and from unauthorized access and use.
• Understands and practices proper release of information for patients and/or requestors in compliance with confidentiality policies and regulations.
• File and Store Records in an organized method to allow ease of retrieval and accessibility in an efficient manner.
• Provides customer service. Works and communicates in a positive manner with management and supervisory staff, medical staff, co-workers and other healthcare personnel.
