Description
The Medical Records Receptionist plays a key role in maintaining accurate records, coordinating
resident services, and ensuring smooth front desk operations. This position supports both
administrative and compliance functions while providing exceptional service to residents,
families, and healthcare staff.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and coordinate daily transportation and medical appointments for residents on a
    daily basis.
  • Manage and maintain all resident contracts and medical records, ensuring proper
    documentation for records release and adherence to privacy regulations (HIPAA).
  • Oversee front desk operations, including answering multi-line phone systems, greeting
    visitors, and assisting with customer service quality measures.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support resident care coordination and data
    accuracy.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with facility policies, state, and federal regulations
    regarding medical records management.
  • Perform clerical duties such as filing, scanning, and preparing documentation for audits
    or inspections
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification in healthcare
    administration or medical records preferred.
  • Previous experience in a medical office, healthcare facility, or similar setting preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
