Job Overview
This nursing support position is eligible for a $1,500 sign on bonus!
Shift differentials of $1.00 evenings and $1.50 nights
Ebenezer is seeking a Nursing Assistant/Registered (CNA/NAR) to support our adult residents in our Skilled Nursing Facility in Lake City, MN! This role provides hands on care and support services for our Care Center long term care unit residents and young adult-geriatric Transitional care unit patients.
This patient support schedule includes;
  • 48 hours in two weeks
  • Evening shift
  • Every other weekend and holiday rotation
  • Reimbursement of previous costs to take a CNA course /state NA exams, if this is your first time requesting reimbursement

Responsibilities:
  • Assists resident based on individual care plan with personal cares such as; bathing, oral hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, showers and responds to call lights
  • Nursing Assistant may per community patient care model check and record vitals
  • AM/PM cares; including peri care and catheter care
  • May turn, lift or transfer residents with or without other persons/mechanical assistance
  • Observes residents and reports status to appropriate staff in a clear and concise manner
  • Chart or document in electronic medical record system
  • Seeks to resolve resident and family concerns
  • Receives and gives report to appropriate staff during various times in work shift
  • Other duties such as; order and cleanliness in rooms and work areas, reports malfunctioning equipment to maintenance department, and answers phones in a timely manner

Required:
  • Active on MN Nursing Assistant registry by start date
  • If hired into the Ebenezer Nursing Assistant Training program, granted a 4-month grace period from hire date to be active on the MN Nursing Assistant registry

Preferred:
  • Ability to work with a diverse and geriatric population
  • Communicate efficiently, with empathy and understanding for residents and coworkers
  • Experience working as a HHA, PCA, DSP, NA, Resident Assistant
  • Work experience in a customer service setting
