Job description

CHC is hiring Patient Service Professionals to check in patients as they arrive for their appointments.
This entry level role is crucial in providing quality patient experiences in our clinics. Come be a part of an organization that strives to make a difference in our community!
Wage range for this role is $16.50-$23/hr.
Patient Service Professional Duties are listed below:
  • *Registers patients in a timely manner while reviewing the chart for accurate demographic, privacy, UDS information and ensures all required forms are completed.
  • *Requests payment at point of service.
  • *Prints daily schedules for department and reviews charts for necessary paperwork, Medicaid eligibility, and patient intake needs.
  • * Makes appointments only when necessary to support nurses and providers.
  • *Assists patients in completing required forms.
  • *Answers incoming calls for the department.
  • *Collects all paperwork from patients and checks for completeness before giving to Medical Records to be scanned.
  • *Applies payment to the patient accounts according to procedure.
  • *Performs "end-of-day" procedures including printing reports and balancing the cash bag. Checks to see that all patients have been cared for and restocks supplies.

PSP Requirements:
--Strong customer service and data entry skills.
--Insurance experience, (Medicaid, Medicare, Private Insurances)
--Experience in a medical/reception office preferred.
