Job description

Program Assistant

Bi-Bett Corporation is a California non- profit engaged for the past 50 years in the treatment and recovery of adults with primary substance abuse and co-occurring alcohol disorders or other drug problems. Originally based in Contra Costa County, Bi-Bett now operates residential and outpatient programs in Alameda and Solano Counties, as well as Recovery Residences.

The Bi-Bett Mission: To provide effective and affordable human services to individuals, families and communities with alcohol and drug related problems on the belief that everyone has value and can grow through change if given oneโ€™s rightful opportunity to choose. Our goal is to create culturally appropriate alcohol and drug-free environments in which one may experience personal and social growth.

Responsibilities Include but not limited to:

  • Present on time as scheduled, groomed cleaned and in professional dress.
  • Communicate with Program Coordinator about the daily functions of the facility.
  • Oversee daily functions of the facility:
    • Monitor the grounds for safety
    • Ensure the clients are following rules and are accounted for
    • Available as first response in crisis or medical emergency
    • Walk the residentsโ€™ house at designated times
    • Assist with administrative office support
    • Answering phones
    • Assisting with supply ordering and inventory
    • Record facility events in the logbook
  • Preform all assigned tasks from the Program Coordinator

Qualifications:

  • Desire to work and gain knowledge in the field of Substance Use Treatment
  • Registered AOD counselor preferred.
  • Excellent communications skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer skills.
  • Evidence of being an effective team player.
  • Must be able to obtain background check clearance.
  • Able to respond to crisis situations effectively & efficiently.
  • Familiar with ASAM
  • Knowledge of SmartCare Date Entry System a plus

This is a non-exempt part time, non-benefited position.

Salary/Wage commensurate with experience, education, certification, or license.
