Job description

In search of a highly motivated and experienced Practice Manager to oversee a growing pediatric surgery office. Practice Manager will be a trusted member of the physicians’ team providing valuable support and ensuring the office runs smoothly and successfully.

Ideal candidate will have:

- Superior level of customer service and comfort speaking with parents and young patients, alike

- Experience/knowledge in medical billing and managing provider health insurance contracts

- Experience in staff management and HR

- Experience with payroll administration

- Proficient with Microsoft Office

- Experience with Electronic Medical Records

- Experience with Quickbooks

Job Duties include but are not limited to:

- Manage Office Staff

  • Hire and train staff as necessary
  • Manage employee schedules
  • Manage day-to-day employee questions and issues
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations for staff
  • Hold routine staff meetings to ensure all staff are working cohesively and cooperatively
  • Manage and resolve employee conflicts
  • Ensure all staff and office procedures are in accordance with applicable laws and mandates
  • Maintain and update office policies and procedures
  • Update labor law posters in the office as required

- Work with third party vendors to manage weekly payroll

- Work with third party vendors to manage 401k and health insurance plans

- Assist in management of overhead costs

- Lead negotiations with provide health insurance contracts to secure the most competitive rates

- Oversee and liaise with third party medical billing vendor

- Manage transition as practice becomes paperless

- Responsible for paying all practice bills on time

- Serve as point of contact with landlord on day to day building maintenance
