Position: Medical Phone Operator

Schedule: 8:30am-5pm; Monday-Friday, No Weekends and No Holidays, No Nights

Location: Norwood, OH; Hybrid option after training.

Responsibilities:

The Phone Operator is responsible for helping patients, hospitals, physician offices, and pharmacy's by promptly and professionally answering incoming calls, answers appropriate questions, and/or transferring to the appropriate party. Your responsibilities include:

  • Manages large volume of inbound calls in a timely manner.
  • Manages inbound/outbound correspondence (emails, faxes, etc)
  • Makes connections with patients, hospitals, and referring physicians
  • Provides exceptional customer service over the phone
  • Help patients and other callers by triaging, or routing calls to the appropriate party, or by escalating concerns as appropriate.
  • Performs other clerical duties as needed.
    • Faxing office notes and results.
  • Liaison between hospitals and our physicians.

Background and Experience:

  • Healthcare experience preferred
Job Qualifications:
  • Strong written and verbal skill communication skills; ability to share information clearly and professionally.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products, specifically Teams and Outlook.
  • Experience working in an EHR system.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrates sound judgement, maturity, and professionalism.
  • Comfortable dealing with diverse patient population including those with complex needs.
  • Strong multitasking skills and attention to detail in a fast paced environment.
