Job description

2nd Shift openings available Monday-Thursday 5:15PM-3:45AM

Purpose:          Perform all tasks involved in the production of JBC Technologies, Inc. products. Follow standard work methods and practice safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reads and interprets blueprints, drawings, job orders, routers and diagrams
  • Accurately filling, sealing, labeling, and inspecting medical products to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards
  • Accurately recording production data, batch information, and any necessary quality control records.
  • Adheres to operating procedures/instructions
  • Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisors
  • Maintain a clean and safe workstation following 5S system
  • Embrace a team attitude that aligns with JBC’s Core Values
  • Accurately record labor and material usage in ERP system
  • Follow all JBC policies and procedures
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by management

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing/assembly environment
  • Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, expectations, and procedures in manufacturing

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to read and perform basic math skills including counting
  • Ability to use various tools including tape measure, dial caliper, and other hand tools
  • Must have a good command of the English language, both written and spoken
  • Basic reading skills for understanding drawings, Job Orders, and specs
  • Able to follow directions
  • Strong manual dexterity

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None

Physical Demands:

  • Light to moderate physical effort required on a constant basis
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about the facility for an entire shift

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Protective equipment not required but available for nuisance dust
  • Protective equipment, such as gloves, required for specific tasks
  • Steel-toed/Safety-toed shoes are required on the production floor

Work Schedule:

  • Normal Schedule -
    • 1st Shift - Monday through Thursday, 6:30 am to 5:00 pm
    • 2nd Shift - Monday through Thursday, 5:15 pm to 3:45 am
  • Overtime scheduled as needed due to business need and may be mandatory

Work Environment:

  • Work performed in a plant/production environment
  • Contains any number of elements including but not limited to fiberglass/insulation material, dust, fumes, and noise.
  • Must be able to work as part of a team or independently with limited supervision
