Olsten Staffing Services is recruiting for a Medical Assistant in Myrtle Beach, SC!
Exciting Opportunity
This is a unique opportunity for a Medical Assistant who is interested in working with an experienced, innovative breast surgeon who truly cares about patients in our community. Office hours provide an opportunity for an optimal work-life balance.
Position Overview
The Medical Assistant will perform clinical and administrative duties under the direction of the physician. Duties may include recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examinations, obtaining medical records and test results.
Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping rooms neat, clean, and adequately stocked.
  • Escort patients to examination rooms and prepare them for the physician.
  • Interview patients to obtain medical information and record vital signs.
  • Record patients' medical histories, smoking status, vital statistics, test results, and other pertinent information in electronic medical records.
  • Monitor medical office supplies and equipment and anticipate inventory needs.
  • Perform general office duties, including answering telephones and completing FMLA and work-excuse forms.
  • Schedule patient appointments as needed.
  • Obtain imaging films/reports, laboratory results, and other information to ensure patient charts are complete.
  • Contact other physicians' offices to obtain medical records or discuss patient care.
  • Document all patient-related communications in the electronic medical record.

Pay Details: $15.00 to $20.00 per hour
