Dayton Center for Neurological Disorders (DCND), one of the largest physician owned and operated private practices in Ohio, is seeking a Medical Billing Manager to be based in our Centerville office. The Medical Billing Manager will oversee the financial operations of the billing department, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in claims processing, payment collection and revenue cycle management.

What We Require for This Role

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 5 years of Medical Office Billing experience.
  • Billing/Coding Certification (CPC, CPB, CPMA or CPCO)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Google Docs
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to pass a criminal background and drug test.
  • Immunization against tuberculosis (TB) or willingness to be vaccinated upon hire.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Manage and mentor medical billers, coders, and other related staff.
  • Oversee the accurate and timely submission of insurance claims, including electronic claims and appeals.
  • Manage the posting of payments reconciliation and collections of outstanding balances from patients and insurance companies.
  • Prepare and analyze billing reports to track key metrics and identify areas for improvement.
  • Create and maintain billing policies and procedures to streamline operations and ensure compliance. Manage and implement new credit services as needed.
  • Manage the entire revenue cycle from claim submission to payment posting optimizing the collections process.
  • Track and participate in the negotiations of EHR billing and insurance contracts and managing relationships with insurance companies.
  • Prepare and submit deposits to the bank. Request refund checks and issue appropriately.
