How you'll contribute
A Medical Lab Assistant (MLA) who excels in this role:
- The Medical Laboratory Assistant will perform basic laboratory duties to include phlebotomy, along with other specimen collection, and waived testing.
- The Medical Laboratory Assistant is responsible for ordering, processing, and distributing laboratory specimens.
- Review of pending reports, manifests, etc. for outstanding lab results, assisting other lab personnel with specimen storage and retrieval, ensuring Turn Around Times (TATs) are met; and maintaining inventory for phlebotomy services, reference lab supplies, and departmental office supplies.
- Assists with receiving, identifying, accessioning, processing and transporting specimens.
