About the Role
We're looking for a dedicated Medical Imaging Administrative Specialist to join our team and help us continue delivering the level of care our patients and families deserve. In this role, you'll be a vital part of our administrative team, ensuring excellent service, collaboration, and patient outcomes in a fast-paced healthcare environment. As the Medical Imaging Administrative Specialist you'll be responsible for providing clerical, technical and clinical support dedicated to meeting the needs of patients and department operations and priorities.
What You'll Do
  • The Medical Imaging Administrative Assistant provides clerical, technical and clinical support dedicated to meeting the needs of patients department operations.
  • Mammography Risk Assessment Database Management-compiles data to assist in the interpretation and identification of women who may be at increased risk for developing breast cancer. Collaborates closely with Breast Health Nurse Navigator to identify patients who may need further surveillance, genetic testing, and additional prevention strategies. In conjunction with Breast Health Nurse Navigator supports all efforts related to guiding patients through advanced breast cancer surveillance as determined through risk assessment program. Coordinates with Nurse Navigator to review program status
  • Responsible for MRI Safety Screening and confirmation phone calls for all scheduled MRI patients prior to scheduled MRI appointment. Follows up with patients with missed appointments.
  • Scheduling: schedules basic diagnostic testing and follow-up rescheduling for missed appointments
  • Responsible for script compliance for all scheduled MRI and CT exams including script retrieval. Collaborates with CT/MR supervisor as needed to identify concerns with script compliance and modality access issues.
  • Conducts insurance verification using appropriate verification tools and on-line resources. Communicates directly with referring providers to address script concerns to include improper coding, missing or improper diagnosis and expired script authorization.
  • Medical Records: Processes requests for medical records in accordance with established policies and procedures. Responds to individual requests for medical records. Acquires operative reports from outside facilities to aid in the verification of MRI safety for numerous implants and devices.
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in alignment with Saratoga Hospital values
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support health, healing, and service excellence
  • Perform administrative responsibilities with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency
  • Use hospital systems and tools to document care and support operations
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and support patient and staff satisfaction
  • Serve as a positive, professional representative of our hospital and community

What You Bring
  • High school diploma or GED. Previous customer service experience required. Medical terminology essential. Strong computer skills. At least 1 year of experience in Healthcare field.
