TL;DR – Why You Might Want This
  • You’ll own the entire finance and accounting function of a fast-scaling, venture-backed company.
  • You’ll build and maintain the financial models that drive fundraising, investor relations, and strategic decisions.
  • You’ll navigate multi-entity complexity across AT, DE, UK, and beyond — including transfer pricing.
  • You’ll work directly with founders and leadership on cash flow strategy, bank relationships, and procurement.
  • If you’re looking for a large-corporate finance role with narrow scope, this is not it.
Your Responsibilities
  • Own the finance and accounting function end-to-end — from bookkeeping oversight to strategic financial planning.
  • Build, maintain, and continuously improve financial models, business plans, and investor reporting.
  • Manage multi-entity accounting across jurisdictions (AT, DE, UK, and others), including intercompany transactions and transfer pricing compliance.
  • Own liquidity planning and cash flow management — ensure the company always knows where it stands and where it’s headed.
  • Liaise with banks and financial institutions for financing, credit lines, and leasing options.
  • Lead investor relations activities: preparation of board materials, fundraising support, and ongoing investor communication.
  • Coordinate with external tax advisors, auditors, and legal counsel across jurisdictions.
  • Drive procurement processes, with a particular focus on medical device sourcing and vendor negotiations.
  • Establish and refine internal financial controls, reporting cadences, and approval workflows.
  • Serve as the financial conscience of the company — flag risks early, challenge assumptions, and protect the runway.
You
  • 2–5 years of experience leading the finance and/or accounting function of a small, venture-backed company.
  • Proven experience managing multi-entity structures across European jurisdictions (AT, DE, UK, etc.), including transfer pricing.
  • Strong command of financial modelling, business planning, and investor-facing materials.
  • Hands-on experience with liquidity management, cash flow forecasting, and bank relationships.
  • Comfortable operating as a one-person department or leading a small team — you’re not waiting for someone to hand you a process.
  • Experience with procurement of medical devices or regulated products is a strong plus.
  • Educational background in finance, accounting, business administration, or economics. CPA, CFA, or equivalent is a plus.
  • High ownership mentality — you treat the company’s money like your own.
  • Structured, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure.
  • Fluent in English and German is a must.
What We Offer
  • AAA-level compensation for AAA-level performance.
  • Real ownership and impact on company trajectory.
  • Close collaboration with founders, scientists, and leadership.
  • A culture of intensity, precision, and accountability.
  • No fluff. Real outcomes.
Process
  • We take hiring seriously and hire selectively.
  • 3 rounds:
    • Screening
    • Technical / domain deep-dive
    • Management interview
