Medical Edge Recruitment is seeking a Surgical Assistant for a full-time opportunity in beautiful Honolulu, Hawaii!
Salary:
$116,000 to $140,000 annually
Schedule:
Full Time
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Assist surgeons during operative procedures as the First Assistant
โ€ข Maintain a sterile surgical environment
โ€ข Provide intraoperative support, including tissue handling, exposure, hemostasis, and wound closure
โ€ข Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and the surgical team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care
Requirements:
โ€ข High school diploma or equivalent education and training
โ€ข Current Certified First Assistant (CFA), Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA), or Assistant in Surgery certification through one of the following:
โ€ข National Board of Surgical Technology and Assisting (NBSTSA)
โ€ข National Surgical Assistant Association (NSAA)
โ€ข American Board of Surgical Assistants (ABSA)
โ€ข National Assistant at Surgery Council (NASC)
โ€ข Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification for Healthcare Providers
โ€ข Previous First Assistant/Surgical Assistant experience preferred
