Description

 This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to provide exceptional patient care in an on-site setting within the Medical Practice industry.

As a Locum MD specializing in Medical Oncology, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating patients with cancer, working collaboratively with medical staff to develop comprehensive treatment plans. This position allows you to make a significant impact on the lives of patients while enhancing your professional skills in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and diagnose patients with cancer and related conditions
  • Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with medical teams
  • Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other cancer treatments
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
  • Educate patients and families about treatment options and outcomes
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records
  • Stay updated on advancements in oncology practices and treatments
Requirements
  • Medical degree (MD) from an accredited institution
  • Board certification in Medical Oncology is preferred
  • Clinical experience in oncology settings
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

Schedule: 8-hour day shifts, 3-5 days per week

Call every 4th weekend preferred

Daily Volume: 12-16 patients and up to 2 consults

Patient Visits: 45-60 minutes per new evaluations, 20 minutes per follow-up

Support Staff: APP, RNs, and medical assistants

EMR: Meditech

Must be board-certified or board-eligible
