 This contract position provides a unique opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient care in a collaborative healthcare environment.

As a Locum Radiologist, your primary focus will be on interpreting diagnostic imaging and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. You will work within a supportive team that values excellence and innovation in medical practice.

Responsibilities
  • Interpret and analyze various diagnostic imaging studies including X-rays, MRIs, and CT scans
  • Collaborate with physicians to discuss and determine appropriate imaging techniques
  • Provide accurate and timely reports on imaging results
  • Assist in developing and implementing radiology protocols and procedures
  • Educate patients about imaging processes and procedures
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings
  • Stay updated on advancements in radiology technologies and practices
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols in a clinical setting
Requirements
  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
  • Board certification in Radiology or eligibility
  • Valid medical license to practice in the state of Michigan
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
  • Experience in a clinical practice setting is preferred

Schedule: 7:00a-5:30p, specific dates

Overnight Call

Setting: 60% outpatient, 40% inpatient

Daily Volume: 9-10 procedures, including OP and IP

Case Types: General invasive interventional radiology

Duties: Inpatient consults, outpatient clinic visits, biopsies, trauma coverage, scheduled and emergency procedures, and overseeing APPs

Procedures: Performing biopsies, kyphoplasty, port placements, para/thora, etc

Oversee APPs during the day

Support Staff: MD/DOs and APPs

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified

Paid travel and expenses
