Job description

Position Overview and Responsibilities:

The James lab is looking for a Summer Clerical Intern to assist the Arthritis & Clinical Immunology (ACI) department with administrative duties. In this role, you will provide essential administrative support that helps advance important research in autoimmune disease and clinical immunology.

Responsibilities include:

  • Team-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Collecting and distributing mail.
  • Scanning, copying, and filing documents.
  • Entering and maintaining data records
  • Answering and directing phone calls
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Excellent organization, oral and written communication skills required.
  • Must be professional, team oriented, and personable.
  • Reliable, self-driven, and highly attentive to detail.
  • Team-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completion of some college coursework.
  • Prior administrative experience preferred

Work Hours:

Flexible full or part-time hours typically, Monday through Friday, between 8:30AM to 5PM. Summer positions typically are from the beginning of June to the end of July.
