DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
** Moves and positions materials at work site with help of other workers. Transports material or signals crane operator to move material.
** Helps lift and position work pieces.
** Files, grinds, or scrapes sharp edges, burrs, scales, or rust from work pieces. Grinds welded joints, seams, and other irregular areas to smooth surfaces.
** Compares work piece with straightedge or template to verify conformance to specifications.
** Lifts, moves, clamps, and bolts dies and fixtures on machines.
** Operates sandblasting machine to clean tank surfaces prior to painting or coating.
** Sorts, marks, or tags finished work.
** Brushes or blows dirt from dies.
** Removes workpiece and scrap from machines.
** Clean working area, machines and working equipment after completing tasks in that area.
Carry out other duties as necessary to perform function within state and federal regulations.

Requirements
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience:
High School Diploma required. Desire to work with machinery and at least 1 year of related experience preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and write routine correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with staff and other individuals.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to maintain confidential information. Performs
duties in a professional manner, maintaining the high quality of workmanship.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. See attached "Physical Demands Analysis" for details.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to
lift, push, pull, stand, walk, handle equipment in motion, work around sharp
tools, material handling, twist, bend, kneel, grasp with both hands, reach. Field of vision and finger dexterity is required.
Must be able to lift between 25 to 50 pounds. Must be able to assist lifting
between 75 and 100 with help from co-workers or machinery.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to operate equipment including production machines, computer, manual tools, power tools, and work with material made from sheet metal, polycarbs, aluminum, and stainless steel .
